The Conveyancing, Banking & Finance practice group represents  and assists clients to achieve desirable conclusions in a wide range of property transactions, from sale and purchase of residences  to complex transactions dealing with several financial institutions, large corporations and multiple parties.

We act for individual buyers and sellers, corporation and developers and for a large number of banks and financial institutions. We are able to offer a one-stop service to sellers and buyers, developers and banks and financial institutions.

This group also works with the Corporate/ Commercial group in matters involving large and complex corporate acquisitions, restructuring, joint ventures or financing and the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group on disputes relating to interests in land, contracts for sale and purchase of property, leases and tenancies, issues relating to Management Corporations and construction issues.

We represent banks and finance houses in drafting mortgages, assignments, bill of sale and more complex documents such as debentures, liens and letters of subordination. More importantly, our experience touches upon the manner or method of creating security documents and advising clients of the significance and impact of the terms of the security.

Headed by Neel Shivam, this practice group is supported by experienced staff whose combined experience spans at least 20 years. In addition, the group is also capably supported by our Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group whose litigation experience extends to cases argued in the High Court of Fiji and Fiji Court of Appeal.
